Exod.20:2-5 2I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. 3You shall have no other gods before Me. 4You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. 5You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God…
Втор.4:23-24 23Берегитесь, чтобы не забыть вам завета Господа, Бога вашего, который Он поставил с вами, и чтобы не делать себе кумиров, изображающих что-либо, как повелел тебе Господь, Бог твой; 24ибо Господь, Бог твой, есть огонь поедающий, Бог ревнитель
Deut.4:23-24 23So keep yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of Yahweh your God which He cut with you and make for yourselves a graven image in the form of anything against which Yahweh your God has commanded you. 24For Yahweh your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
Ис.9:6,7 6Ибо младенец родился нам – Сын дан нам; владычество на раменах Его, и нарекут имя Ему: Чудный, Советник, Бог крепкий, Отец вечности, Князь мира. 7Умножению владычества Его и мира нет предела на престоле Давида и в царстве его, чтобы Ему утвердить его и укрепить его судом и правдою отныне и до века. Ревность Господа Саваофа сделает это.
Is.9:6-7 6For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. 7There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore. The zeal of Yahweh of hosts will accomplish this.

John 2:15-17 15And He made a scourge of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; 16and to those who were selling the doves He said, “Take these things away; stop making My Father’s house a place of business.” 17His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for Your house will consume me.”

B. Безрассудное решение / Rash Decision
Дан.5:1-2 …и перед глазами тысячи пил вино. 2Вкусив вина, Валтасар приказал принести золотые и серебряные сосуды, которые Навуходоносор, отец его, вынес из храма Иерусалимского, чтобы пить из них царю, вельможам его, женам его и наложницам его.
Dan.5:1-2 …and he was drinking wine in the presence of the thousand. 2When Belshazzar tasted the wine, he said to bring the gold and silver vessels which Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem, so that the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines might drink from them.

Prov.20:1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.
Ис.5:22 Горе тем, которые храбры пить вино и сильны приготовлять крепкий напиток
Is.5:22 Woe to those who are mighty men in drinking wine and valiant men in mixing strong drink

Eph.5:18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit
1Петр.5:8 Трезвитесь, бодрствуйте, потому что противник ваш диавол ходит, как рыкающий лев, ища, кого поглотить.
1Pet.5:8 Be of sober spirit, be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
C. Религиозное кощунство / Religious Blasphemy
Дан.5:3-4 3Tогда принесли золотые сосуды, которые взяты были из святилища дома Божьего в Иерусалиме; и пили из них царь и вельможи его, жены его и наложницы его. 4Пили вино, и славили богов – золотых и серебряных, медных, железных, деревянных и каменных.
Dan.5:3-4 3Then they brought the gold vessels that had been taken out of the temple, the house of God which was in Jerusalem; and the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines drank from them. 4They drank the wine and praised the gods of gold and silver, of bronze, iron, wood and stone.
Дан.5:22-23 22И ты, сын его Валтасар, не смирил сердца твоего, хотя знал все это, 23но вознесся против Господа небес, и сосуды дома Его принесли к тебе, и ты и вельможи твои, жены твои и наложницы твои пили из них вино, и ты славил богов серебряных и золотых, медных, железных, деревянных и каменных, которые ни видят, ни слышат, ни разумеют; а Бога, в руке Которого дыхание твое и у Которого все пути твои, ты не прославил.
Dan.5:22-23 22Yet you, his son, Belshazzar, have not made your heart lowly, even though you knew all this, 23but you have raised yourself up against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines have been drinking wine from them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which do not see, hear, or know. But the God in whose hand are your life-breath and all your ways, you have not honored.

II. Божье откровение / God’s Revelation
Дан.5:5 В тот самый час вышли персты руки человеческой и писали против лампады на извести стены чертога царского, и царь видел кисть руки, которая писала.
Dan.5:5 Suddenly the fingers of a man’s hand came out and began writing opposite the lampstand on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace, and the king saw the back of the hand that did the writing.
Ис.42:8 Я Господь, это – Мое имя, и не дам славы Моей иному и хвалы Моей истуканам.
Is.42:8 I am Yahweh, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another, nor My praise to graven images.
Деян.12:21-23 21В назначенный день Ирод, одевшись в царскую одежду, сел на возвышенном месте и говорил к ним; 22а народ восклицал: [это] голос Бога, а не человека. 23Но вдруг Ангел Господень поразил его за то, что он не воздал славы Богу; и он, быв изъеден червями, умер.
Acts 12:21-23 21And on an appointed day Herod, having put on his royal apparel and sitting on the judgment seat, began delivering an address to them. 22And the assembly kept crying out, “The voice of a god and not of a man!” 23And immediately an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and breathed his last.
III. Реакция царя / The King’s Reaction
Дан.5:6 Тогда царь изменился в лице своём, мысли его смутили его, связи чресл его ослабели, и колени его стали биться одно о другое.
Dan.5:6 Then the splendor of the king’s face changed, and his thoughts alarmed him, and his hip joints went slack, and his knees were knocking against each other.
Дан.5:7 Сильно закричал царь, чтобы привели обаятелей, халдеев и гадателей…
Dan.5:7 The king called out loudly to bring in the conjurers, the Chaldeans, and the diviners…
Дан.5:7 …Царь начал говорить, и сказал мудрецам Вавилонским: «Кто прочитает это написанное и объяснит мне значение его, тот будет облечён в багряницу, и золотая цепь будет на шее у него, и третьим властелином будет в царстве».
Dan.5:7 …The king answered and said to the wise men of Babylon, “Any man who can read this writing and declare its interpretation to me shall be clothed with purple and have a necklace of gold around his neck and rule with power as third ruler in the kingdom.”
Дан.5:8-9 8И вошли все мудрецы царя, но не могли прочитать написанного и объяснить царю значения его. 9Царь Валтасар чрезвычайно встревожился, и вид лица его изменился на нем, и вельможи его смутились
Dan.5:8-9 8Then all the king’s wise men came in, but they could not read the writing or make known its interpretation to the king. 9Then King Belshazzar was greatly alarmed, and the splendor of his face changed further, and his nobles were perplexed.
IV. Совет царицы / The Queen’s Advice
Дан.5:10 Царица же, по поводу слов царя и вельмож его, вошла в палату пиршества; начала говорить царица и сказала: «Царь, вовеки живи! Да не смущают тебя мысли твои, и да не изменяется вид лица твоего!»
Dan.5:10 The queen entered the banquet hall because of the words of the king and his nobles; the queen answered and said, “O king, live forever! Do not let your thoughts alarm you or the splendor of your face be changed.”
Дан.5:11-12 11Есть в царстве твоем муж, в котором Дух святого Бога; во дни отца твоего найдены были в нём свет, разум и мудрость, подобная мудрости богов, и царь Навуходоносор, отец твой, поставил его главой тайноведцев, обаятелей, халдеев и гадателей, – сам отец твой, царь, 12потому что в нём, в Данииле, которого царь переименовал Валтасаром, оказались высокий дух, ведение и разум, способный изъяснять сны, толковать загадочное и разрешать узлы…
Dan.5:11-12 11There is a man in your kingdom in whom is a spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of your father, illumination, insight, and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods were found in him. And King Nebuchadnezzar, your father, your father the king, set him as chief of the magicians, conjurers, Chaldeans, and diviners. 12This was because an extraordinary spirit, knowledge and insight, interpretation of dreams, explanation of enigmas, and solving of difficult problems were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar….
Дан.4:5-6 5Наконец вошел ко мне Даниил, которому имя было Валтасар, по имени бога моего, и в котором дух святого Бога; ему рассказал я сон. 6Валтасар, глава мудрецов! Я знаю, что в тебе дух святого Бога, и никакая тайна не затрудняет тебя; объясни мне видения сна моего, который я видел, и значение его.
Dan.4:8-9 8But at last Daniel came in before me, whose name is Belteshazzar according to the name of my god, and in whom is a spirit of the holy gods; and I said the dream to him: 9“O Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, since I know that a spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no mystery is difficult for you, say to me the visions of my dream which I have seen, along with its interpretation.”
Дан.5:12 …Итак, пусть призовут Даниила и он объяснит значение
Dan.5:12 …Let Daniel now be summoned, and he will declare the interpretation.
Дан.5:13-16 …Ты ли Даниил, один из пленных сынов Иудейских, которых отец мой, царь, привел из Иудеи? 14Я слышал о тебе, что дух Божий в тебе и свет, и разум, и высокая мудрость найдена в тебе… Итак, если можешь прочитать это написанное и объяснить мне значение его, то облечён будешь в багряницу, и золотая цепь будет на шее твоей, и третьим властелином будешь в царстве».
Dan.5:13-16 …Are you that Daniel who is one of the exiles from Judah, whom my father the king brought from Judah? 14Now I have heard about you that a spirit of the gods is in you, and that illumination, insight, and extraordinary wisdom have been found in you… Now if you are able to read the writing and make its interpretation known to me, you will be clothed with purple and wear a necklace of gold around your neck, and you will rule with power as the third ruler in the kingdom.
Иак.4:4-6 4Прелюбодеи и прелюбодейцы! Не знаете ли, что дружба с миром есть вражда против Бога? Итак, кто хочет быть другом миру, тот становится врагом Богу. 5Или вы думаете, что напрасно говорит Писание: «До ревности любит дух, живущий в нас»? 6Но тем большую дает благодать; посему и сказано: Бог гордым противится, а смиренным дает благодать.
Jam.4:4-6 4You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity toward God? Therefore, whoever wishes to be a friend of the world sets himself as an enemy of God. 5Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: “He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”? 6But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
