Dan.5:12 …Let Daniel now be summoned, and he will declare the interpretation.
V. Гордая просьба царя / The King’s Proud Request
Дан.5:13 Тогда введен был Даниил пред царя, и царь начал речь и сказал Даниилу: «Ты ли Даниил, один из пленных сынов Иудейских, которых отец мой, царь, привел из Иудеи?»
Dan.5:13 Then Daniel was brought in before the king. The king answered and said to Daniel, “Are you that Daniel who is one of the exiles from Judah, whom my father the king brought from Judah?”
Дан.5:14 Я слышал о тебе, что дух Божий в тебе и свет, и разум, и высокая мудрость найдена в тебе.
Dan.5:14 Now I have heard about you that a spirit of the gods is in you, and that illumination, insight, and extraordinary wisdom have been found in you.
Дан.5:15-16 15Вот, приведены были ко мне мудрецы и обаятели, чтобы прочитать это написанное и объяснить мне значение его; но они не могли объяснить мне этого. 16А о тебе я слышал, что ты можешь объяснять значение и разрешать узлы…
Dan.5:15-16 15Just now the wise men and the conjurers were brought in before me that they might read this writing and make its interpretation known to me, but they could not declare the interpretation of the message. 16But I personally have heard about you, that you are able to give interpretations and solve difficult problems…
Дан.5:16 …Итак, если можешь прочитать это написанное и объяснить мне значение его, то облечён будешь в багряницу, и золотая цепь будет на шее твоей, и третьим властелином будешь в царстве
Dan.5:16 …Now if you are able to read the writing and make its interpretation known to me, you will be clothed with purple and wear a necklace of gold around your neck, and you will rule with power as the third ruler in the kingdom.

Дан.2:20-22 20И сказал Даниил: да будет благословенно имя Господа от века и до века! Ибо у Него мудрость и сила; 21он изменяет времена и лета, низлагает царей и поставляет царей; дает мудрость мудрым и разумение разумным; 22он открывает глубокое и сокровенное, знает, что во мраке, и свет обитает с Ним.
Dan.2:20-22 20Daniel answered and said, “Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, for wisdom and might belong to Him. 21And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men and knowledge to men of understanding. 22He reveals the deep and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him.

А. Свидетельство личной веры / A Testimony of Personal Faith
Дан.5:17 Тогда отвечал Даниил, и сказал царю: «Дары твои пусть останутся у тебя, и почести отдай другому; а написанное я прочитаю царю и значение объясню ему».
Dan.5:17 Then Daniel answered and said before the king, “Let your gifts remain with you or give your rewards to someone else; however, I will read the writing to the king and make the interpretation known to him.”
2Петр.3:11,12 11Если так все это разрушится, то какими должно быть в святой жизни и благочестии вам, 12ожидающим и желающим пришествия дня Божия, в который воспламененные небеса разрушатся и разгоревшиеся стихии растают?
2Pet.3:11-12 11Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens burning will be destroyed, and the elements will melt with intense heat!
B. Известный урок прошлого / A Well-Known Lesson from the Past
Дан.5:18 Царь! Всевышний Бог даровал отцу твоему Навуходоносору царство, величие, честь и славу
Dan.5:18 O king, the Most High God granted the kingdom, grandeur, glory, and majesty to Nebuchadnezzar your father.
Дан.4:14 Повелением Бодрствующих это определено, и по приговору Святых назначено, дабы знали живущие, что Всевышний владычествует над царством человеческим, и дает его, кому хочет, и поставляет над ним уничиженного между людьми
Dan.4:17 This edict is by the resolution of the watchers, and the decision is a command of the holy ones, in order that the living may know that the Most High is the powerful ruler over the kingdom of mankind and gives it to whom He wishes and sets up over it the lowliest of men.
Дан.5:19 Пред величием, которое Он дал ему, все народы, племена и языки трепетали и страшились его: кого хотел, он убивал, и кого хотел, оставлял в живых; кого хотел, возвышал, и кого хотел, унижал.
Dan.5:19 And because of the grandeur which He bestowed on him, all the peoples, nations, and men of every tongue feared and were in dread before him; whomever he wished he killed, and whomever he wished he kept alive, and whomever he wished he raised up, and whomever he wished he made low.
Дан.5:20-21 20Но когда сердце его надмилось и дух его ожесточился до дерзости, он был свержен с царского престола своего и лишен славы своей, 21и отлучен был от сынов человеческих, и сердце его уподобилось звериному, и жил он с дикими ослами; кормили его травой, как вола, и тело его орошаемо было небесною росой, доколе он познал, что над царством человеческим владычествует Всевышний Бог и поставляет над ним, кого хочет.
Dan.5:20-21 20But when his heart was raised up and his spirit became so strong that he behaved arrogantly, he was deposed from his royal throne, and his glory was taken away from him. 21He was also driven away from the sons of men, and his heart was made like that of beasts, and his place of habitation was with the wild donkeys. He was given grass to eat like cattle, and his body was drenched with the dew of the sky until he knew that the Most High God is the powerful ruler over the kingdom of mankind and that He sets up over it whomever He wishes.
C. Вина царя Валтасара / Belshazzar’s Guilt
Дан.5:22 И ты, сын его Валтасар, не смирил сердца твоего, хотя знал все это
Dan.5:22 Yet you, his son, Belshazzar, have not made your heart lowly, even though you knew all this
Дан.5:23 но вознесся против Господа небес, и сосуды дома Его принесли к тебе, и ты и вельможи твои, жены твои и наложницы твои пили из них вино, и ты славил богов серебряных и золотых, медных, железных, деревянных и каменных, которые ни видят, ни слышат, ни разумеют; а Бога, в руке Которого дыхание твое и у Которого все пути твои, ты не прославил.
Dan.5:23 but you have raised yourself up against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines have been drinking wine from them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which do not see, hear, or know. But the God in whose hand are your life-breath and all your ways, you have not honored.
Рим.1:20-22 20Ибо невидимое Его, вечная сила Его и Божество, от создания мира через рассматривание творений видимы, так что они безответны. 21Но как они, познав Бога, не прославили Его, как Бога, и не возблагодарили, но осуетились в умствованиях своих, и омрачилось несмысленное их сердце; 22называя себя мудрыми, обезумели.
Rom.1:20-22 20For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, both His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. 21For even though they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22Professing to be wise, they became fools.
Дан.5:24 За это и послана от Него кисть руки, и начертано это писание.
Dan.5:24 Then the hand was sent from Him, and this writing was inscribed.
VII. Суверенное решение Бога / God’s Sovereign Verdict
Дан.5:25-27 25И вот что начертано: «мене, мене, текел, упарсин». 26Вот и значение слов: «мене» – исчислил Бог царство твое и положил конец ему; 27«Текел» – ты взвешен на весах и найден очень легким; 28«Перес» – разделено царство твое и дано Мидянам и Персам.
Dan.5:25-27 25Now this is the writing that was inscribed: “MENĒ, MENĒ, TEKĒL, UPHARSIN.” 26This is the interpretation of the message: “MENĒ” — God has numbered your kingdom and put an end to it. 27“TEKĒL” — you have been weighed on the scales and found lacking.
Ис.66:1-2 1Так говорит Господь: небо – престол Мой, а земля – подножие ног Моих; где же построите вы дом для Меня, и где место покоя Моего? 2Ибо все это соделала рука Моя, и все сие было, говорит Господь. А вот на кого Я призрю: на смиренного и сокрушенного духом и на трепещущего пред словом Моим.
Is.66:1-2 1Thus says Yahweh, “Heaven is My throne, and the earth is the footstool of My feet. Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I may rest? 2For My hand made all these things, thus all these things came into being,” declares Yahweh. “But to this one I will look, to him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word.
1Петр.3:3-4 3Да будет украшением вашим не внешнее плетение волос, не золотые уборы или нарядность в одежде, 4но сокровенный сердца человек в нетленной [красоте] кроткого и молчаливого духа, что драгоценно пред Богом.
1Pet.3:3-4 3Your adornment must not be merely external – braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on garments; 4but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible quality of a lowly and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.
Дан.5:29-31 29Тогда по повелению Валтасара облекли Даниила в багряницу и возложили золотую цепь на шею его, и провозгласили его третьим властелином в царстве. 30В ту же самую ночь Валтасар, царь Халдейский, был убит, 31и Дарий Мидянин принял царство, будучи шестидесяти двух лет.
Dan.5:29-31 29Then Belshazzar said the word, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a necklace of gold around his neck and issued a proclamation concerning him that he now would be the third powerful ruler in the kingdom. 30That same night Belshazzar the Chaldean king was killed. 31So Darius the Mede received the kingdom at about the age of sixty-two.
2Цар.12:13-14 13И сказал Давид Нафану: согрешил я пред Господом. И сказал Нафан Давиду: и Господь снял [с тебя] грех твой; ты не умрешь; 14но как ты этим делом подал повод врагам Господа хулить Его, то умрет родившийся у тебя сын
2Sam.12:13-14 13Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against Yahweh.” And Nathan said to David, “Yahweh also has taken away your sin; you shall not die. 14However, because by this deed you have given occasion to the enemies of Yahweh to blaspheme, the son also that is born to you shall surely die.”
Чис.20:12 И сказал Господь Моисею и Аарону: за то, что вы не поверили Мне, чтоб явить святость Мою пред очами сынов Израилевых, не введете вы народа сего в землю, которую Я даю ему
Num.20:12 But Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to treat Me as holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

1Кор.10:21-22 21Не можете пить чашу Господню и чашу бесовскую; не можете быть участниками в трапезе Господней и в трапезе бесовской. 22Неужели мы [решимся] раздражать Господа? Разве мы сильнее Его?
1Cor.10:21-22 21You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons. 22Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?
Ис.2:17 И падет величие человеческое, и высокое людское унизится; и один Господь будет высок в тот день
Is.2:17 The loftiness of man will be bowed down, And the men who are high will be made low; And Yahweh alone will be exalted in that day
1Петр.5:5,6 5Также и младшие, повинуйтесь пастырям; все же, подчиняясь друг другу, облекитесь смиренномудрием, потому что Бог гордым противится, а смиренным дает благодать. 6Итак смиритесь под крепкую руку Божию, да вознесет вас в свое время.
1Pet.5:5-6 5You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. 6Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time.
