1Тим.3:1-7 1Верно слово: если кто епископства желает, доброго дела желает. 2Но епископ должен быть непорочен, одной жены муж, трезв, целомудрен, благочинен, честен, страннолюбив, учителен, 3не пьяница, не бийца, не сварлив, не корыстолюбив, но тих, миролюбив, не сребролюбив, 4хорошо управляющий домом своим, детей содержащий в послушании со всякою честностью; 5ибо, кто не умеет управлять собственным домом, тот будет ли заботиться о Церкви Божией? 6Не [должен быть] из новообращенных, чтобы не возгордился и не подпал осуждению с диаволом. 7Надлежит ему также иметь доброе свидетельство от внешних, чтобы не впасть в нарекание и сеть диавольскую.
1Tim.3:1-7 1It is a trustworthy saying: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a good work. 2An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but considerate, peaceable, free from the love of money; 4leading his own household well, having his children in submission with all dignity 5(but if a man does not know how to lead his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?), 6and not a new convert, so that he will not become conceited and fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7And he must have a good reputation with those outside the church, so that he will not fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
I. Призвание епископов / The Calling of Bishops

1Tim.3:1 It is a trustworthy saying: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a good work.
II. Непорочность епископов / The Integrity of Bishops
1Тим.3:2,3 2Но епископ должен быть непорочен, одной жены муж, трезв, целомудрен, благочинен, честен, страннолюбив, учителен, 3не пьяница, не бийца, не сварлив, не корыстолюбив, но тих, миролюбив, не сребролюбив

III. Лидерство епископов / The Leadership of Bishops
1Тим.3:4,5 4хорошо управляющий домом своим, детей содержащий в послушании со всякою честностью; 5ибо, кто не умеет управлять собственным домом, тот будет ли заботиться о Церкви Божией?
1Tim.3:4,5 4leading his own household well, having his children in submission with all dignity 5(but if a man does not know how to lead his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?)
IV. Испытание епископов / The Testing of Bishops
1Тим.3:6 Не [должен быть] из новообращенных, чтобы не возгордился и не подпал осуждению с диаволом
1Tim.3:6 and not a new convert, so that he will not become conceited and fall into the condemnation of the devil.
V. Репутация епископов / The Reputation of Bishops
1Тим.3:7 Надлежит ему также иметь доброе свидетельство от внешних, чтобы не впасть в нарекание и сеть диавольскую
1Tim.3:7 And he must have a good reputation with those outside the church, so that he will not fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

1Tim.3:14,15 14I am writing these things to you, hoping to come to you soon, 15but in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.
